SAINT AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA
Kick off the summer in style by joining the Lightner Museum on May 31, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the second floor gallery spaces. Enjoy an evening of art, music, and conversation in what used to be the Alcazar Hotel’s spa facilities. The second floor now houses the museum’s porcelain collections, cut glass collections, Tiffany glass and stained glass collections. Put your sleuthing glasses on and identify the different countries our collection hails from while enjoying wine and refreshments.
Enchanting music will be provided by Jacksonville’s Blue Muse. Blue Muse specializes in classic jazz standards as well as its own take on more modern classics.
Lightner Museum Curator, Barry Myers, will be rubbing elbows with guests offering “fun facts” on second floor collection pieces. Museum docents will be on-hand to talk to guests about their favorite (and possibly least favorite) parts of the collections and the Alcazar Hotel.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations are requested for beverages. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and guests may enter through the Cordova street entrance by the Café Alcazar. Entrance will be clearly marked.
For more information contact the Museum at 904-824-2874.
This event is funded in part by St. Johns County Tourist Development Council and the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs.
