It’s not too late to finish up any last minute holiday shopping at the Lightner Museum Store. The Museum Store will be open on Christmas Eve.
The Museum Store is a treasure chest of unique, one of a kind items for gift giving.
As a Museum Store volunteer, some of my favorite items are the Tiffany inspired lamps and umbrellas, the selection of amber and Italian cameo jewelry, the teapots and china serving pieces, and the Hurdy Gurdy musical windups which play songs like “Amazing Grace and “When You Wish Upon a Star.” Unique items like the Lightner Museum china plate are made in England of high quality materials.
Cameos make an elegant gift that can be worn for any occasion. Each one is a work of art!
The Hurdy Gurdy is part of the Museum’s daily music demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. You may purchase your own Hurdy Gurdy for $7.95 in the Museum Store. View a video of a Hurdy Gurdy in action:
The Museum Store’s book selection is ideal for history and art lovers. Books on art history, St. Augustine history, Henry Flagler’s legacy, and other topics related to the Gilded Age are available in hardcover and softcover.
A special selection of Christmas ornaments adorn the tree in the Museum Store and are available in all price ranges. Other Christmas themed gifts are displayed and will not disappoint those on your gift list. All Christmas items are 50% off, beginning December 23!
This is just a sampling of the many wonderful items available for all age groups that will delight and be appreciated this season. Museum admission isn’t required to shop in the Museum Store. Normal hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
