Fine art meets high class cruising with Lightner Museum Curator Barry Myers.

Southern Caribbean, December 4, 2016: The Lightner Museum invites the public to sail away with Museum Curator Barry Myers and other fine-art aficionados on a 10-day maiden voyage aboard the newly-built ms Koningsdam by Holland American to the Southern Caribbean.
This maiden voyage will depart on December 4, 2016, from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and will make ports of call in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Aruba among others. Special to the guests of the Lightner Museum, Curator Barry Myers will be aboard giving personally tailored talks and tours on regional decorative arts and architecture.
IMG_9317Mrs. Faith Tiberio, Lightner Museum board member, will be on board and give a special guest lecture on Southern caribbean flora and fauna.
The new ship features luxurious spaces and modern amenities. Passengers inside the ship will also delight in nightly musical entertainments held on three stages, or enjoy movies and performances broadcast on a 270-degree LED screen in an immersive theater. Alongside visual treats, passengers will savor the extraordinary delicacies and indulgences created for the specialty-designed dining room that spans two floors, all while taking in beautiful vistas of the islands.
