March 24, 2016, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.: The public is invited to learn about an exciting opportunity during a presentation hosted by Bartimus Travel Group on Tuesday March 15th at the Lightner Museum. The Lightner Museum will be setting sail on Holland America’s ms Koningsdam’s maiden voyage to the southern Caribbean on December 4, 2016 for a 10-day cruise.
Guests of the Lightner Museum will not only be able to luxuriate upon the high seas, but will also be treated to tailored lectures on regional fine and decorative arts and architecture by museum Curator Barry Myers; as well as a special lecture to be given by museum board member and patron, Mrs. Faith Tiberio.
The new ship features luxurious spaces and modern amenities. Passengers inside the ship will also delight in nightly musical entertainments held on three stages, or enjoy movies and performances broadcast on a 270-degree LED screen in an immersive theater. Alongside visual treats, passengers will savor the extraordinary delicacies and indulgences created for the specialty-designed dining room that spans two floors, all while taking in beautiful vistas of the islands.
