Educator’s Tour, July Edition: “What is it?”
Artifacts help curators and historians study the culture of a certain time period, social norms, and customs. July’s Educator’s Tour will be held on Wednesday, July 4th, at 10:00 a.m. Guests will be invited to look at specific museum artifacts and guess their use. What can Mr. Lightner’s collection teach us about the past? Join museum educator Ellen Morfit for a lively tour that highlights different parts of the collection and what can be learned from them.
Summer Educator’s Tours are perfect for all ages and will be offered in lieu of Curator’s tours on June 6th, July 4th, and August 1st at 10:00 a.m. July’s tour will run 45 minutes and begin in the museum’s front lobby. Guests will be invited to participate in the antique mechanical music demonstration beginning at 11:00 a.m. Monthly Curator’s Tours will resume on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
