To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, St. Augustine institutions are joining forces by sharing relevant items in their collections on Friday, November 6th, from 1PM – 7PM. The program is hosted at the Lightner Museum.

Flagler College’s “Meet the Collections and Curators” series will partner with Lightner Museum, Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Florida National Guard, Camp Blanding Museum, Marineland, and the National Park Services’ archives for Northeast Florida to produce a must-see WWII-themed event.

On display will be items relating to soldiers from Florida during that time, to what the state of Florida experienced, and to the war in general. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore what Northeast Florida offers in its various archives, libraries, and museums, and also to speak with the curators of these collections.

The event is free to the public but does require pre-registration: https://saintsconnect.flagler.edu/AcademicAffairs/rsvp_boot?id=833879

This is a co-curricular event for Flagler College students.
