October Curator’s Tour Presented By Thomas Rahner
Monthly Curator’s tours feature unique and special treasures of the Lightner Museum. The tours are the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. and offer guests an intimate encounter with a select few of the Lightner’s eclectic relics.
The Curator’s Tour will be presented by special guest Thomas Rahner and be held on October 3rd, 2018 at 10 a.m. Mr. Rahner’s miniature boat creations will be on display in the Lightner Museum’s East Room. This temporary exhibition includes boat models filled with rich history from Henry Flagler’s fleet and much more.
Thomas Rahner is a St. Augustine native and is a Professor Emeritus of Flagler College with 35 years of teaching experience. Rahner, a U.S. Army veteran, was the founder of the Theater Department at Flagler College, where he also served as a chairman for 31 years. The Lightner is excited he will be leading October’s Curator’s Tour, and sharing information about his intricate hand-carved miniatures.
Tours are included in the price of admission and will begin in the front lobby of the Museum at 10 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
Donations are appreciated and will be accepted after the tour.
