Lightner After Hours
September 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This month, Lightner After Hours celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a Latin-inspired musical performance by SUMA! on Thursday, September 26th, from 6 – 8 p.m. Patrons will enjoy viewing Lightner’s collection of fine and decorative arts in the first floor galleries while listening to the melodic and percussive rhythms of salsa, samba, bossa nova, boleros and gypsy pop music by percussionist Sue Hadjopoulos and vocalist/guitarist Marianne Lerbs. The former Hotel Alcazar’s Spanish Renaissance Revival style building provides a fitting stage for the duo’s multi-lingual delivery of songs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. A beer & wine bar will be available for donations.
Guests may enter Lightner Museum’s lobby through the Granada Street courtyard located across from Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
