Artisan Hobbies Workshop | Small Worlds: Creating Your Own Closed Terrarium Ecosystem
Come learn a new hobby, discover unique craft techniques, and explore art making techniques at the Lightner Museum!
Founded in 1948 as the Lightner Museum of Hobbies, the museum has its origins in the hobby boom that swept America in the early twentieth century. This summer, we’re hosting a series of Artisan Hobbies Workshops highlighting the diverse range of skilled artisans in our region.
Join artist Crystal Floyd at the Lightner Museum for an immersive Closed Terrarium Ecosystem Workshop. In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn the art and science of creating a self-sustaining ecosystem in a glass container. Crystal will guide you through the process, sharing her expertise in blending natural elements with artistic vision.
Whether you’re a seasoned plant enthusiast or a curious beginner, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the delicate balance of nature while crafting your own living artwork. Spaces are limited and guests must register in advance. Reserve your spot today and take home a piece of the natural world!
All materials included in cost of admission, and refreshments will be served.
